To ensure clarity and transparency, please review our store policies below. By making a purchase or engaging with our business, you agree to these terms.
1. General Business Practices
- Accepting Offers: We carefully consider all reasonable offers. We reserve the right to accept or decline offers at our sole discretion. Offers cannot be combined with existing sales or discounts.
- Item Availability: All items listed are subject to prior sale. We reserve the right to list, unlist, or adjust product availability at any time.
- Buyer Conduct: We are dedicated to fostering a respectful and positive community. We have a zero-tolerance policy for buyer abuse, harassment, manipulation, or repeated lowball offers. Such behavior will be reported to relevant platforms (e.g., eBay) and may result in a ban from future transactions with Once Upon a Resell.
- Feedback: We value your satisfaction. Positive feedback for buyers is automatically left upon receiving positive feedback from you, acknowledging a successful transaction.
2. Product Information & Accuracy
We take great pride in the quality and accuracy of our listings.
- Item Condition & Cleaning: All items are thoroughly inspected, cleaned as needed, measured, and photographed. For safe keeping in our warehouse, items are then sealed in a cellophane bag.
- Pet-Friendly Environment: As we are a pet-friendly household (dogs), while we meticulously clean and inspect each item, it is possible for an occasional pet hair to be present. We make every effort to remove all hair before packaging.
- Measurements: We provide approximate measurements for every item using the flat lay method. Please note that measurements may vary by up to half an inch. We strongly recommend comparing our flat lay measurements to an item you already own for the most accurate fit assessment.
- Color Variation: We strive to capture the true colors of our items in photographs. However, due to variations in lighting, camera settings, and individual screen displays, actual colors may vary slightly from what appears online.
- Flaws & Imperfections: We meticulously inspect each garment to identify any flaws. Should an item have a notable flaw, it will be clearly described in the listing and depicted with close-up photos. We consider all photographs to be an integral part of the item’s description; by not viewing them, you are agreeing that you are not reviewing the entire item description.
3. Shipping Policy
We prioritize prompt and secure delivery of your purchases.
- Processing Time: Orders are typically processed and shipped within 1 business day of cleared payment.
- Shipping Carrier: We primarily ship via USPS Ground Advantage. We reserve the right to utilize a different, more economical shipping service if available.
- Shipping Requests: Should you require a specific shipping service or packaging (other than our standard polybags), please contact us before purchasing. We will consider such requests at our discretion, and we reserve the right to cancel the sale if we cannot accommodate.
- Combined Shipping: We are happy to offer combined shipping for multiple items purchased together. Please contact us or request an invoice before paying if you wish to combine items.
- Shipping Rates: Our shipping prices are flat rate, calculated based on item weight and shipping to the furthest zone from our location (e.g., California).
- Responsibility After Dispatch: Once an item is delivered to the post office on time, responsibility for timely delivery, delays, or lost mail shifts to the shipping carrier (USPS).
- Lost or Damaged Items: You may be eligible to file a claim directly with the shipping carrier if your item is lost or damaged in transit. Once an item is marked as delivered to your requested location, Once Upon a Resell is no longer responsible for lost or stolen packages (e.g., “porch pirates”). Please ensure your delivery location is secure.
4. Returns & Refund Policies
Your satisfaction is important to us. Please review our return policy carefully.
- Return Window: We offer a 30-day return policy on all clothing items, starting from the date of delivery.
- Condition of Return: To be eligible for a refund, the item must be returned and received in the exact same condition it was sent out. This includes all tags, labels, and original packaging.
- New With Tags (NWT) Items: For items sold as “New With Tags” (NWT), a fee may be charged if the item is returned without tags or not in its original new condition.
- Refund Process: A refund will only be issued once the returned item has been received and inspected. We do not offer partial refunds, nor do we issue refunds for items that are not returned.
- Return Shipping Costs:
- Our Error: If we have made an error (e.g., wrong item received, item arrived damaged), we will provide a free return label, and a full refund will be issued upon receipt of the item.
- Buyer’s Remorse/Fit Issues: For returns due to buyer’s remorse, incorrect fit, or other reasons not attributable to our error, the buyer is responsible for all original shipping costs (non-refundable) as well as the return shipping costs.
5. Sales & Discounts
- We periodically run special sales and discounts, often for multiple purchases. We encourage you to follow our store and check our social media channels frequently for announcements on new products, sales, and special deals. Please note that offers cannot be combined with existing sales or discounts.
